Moreover, you can make purchases online through Online Play by logging into your verified NC Education Lottery Account.
Are prices taxable?
Yes. Federal and state withholdings apply to all prize won.
What happens if I lose a winning ticket?
Anybody can claim your ticket if you lose it. Until it is signed, a ticket is a bearer instrument. Anyone else who has the ticket can claim the reward if you don't sign it.
How long do I have to claim the prize?
You have 90 days from the formally stated end of the game for instant scratch-off games. The ticket must be received by the NC Lottery within 90 days if it is mailed. Postmarks will not enough to meet this condition. Draw games have a 180-day redemption period following the drawing for which the ticket was purchased.
What are the chances of winning a prize in the Lottery?
On the back of each instant scratch-off ticket indicate the odds of winning, which vary depending on the game. Also, you can find out the chances for a specific game by looking at the How to Play section on the game's official website or by obtaining a How to Play brochure from your neighborhood retailer.
What does "Overall odds" mean?
The average number of winning tickets every game is provided by overall odds. As an illustration, if a game's odds are 1 in 4, then there will be one winning ticket out of every four tickets throughout the entire game.
